Ground Select Peppers
The plant originates from South and Central America, from where it was brought to Europe by the Spanish. The Spanish and Hungarian red peppers are the highest rated nowadays. It is used in meat dishes - mainly goulash, sauces, cheese and smoked meat, to which it gives not only the delicate taste but also its bold red colour.
Red peppers arean unavoidable part of many spice mixtures.
Tip: Ground red peppers lose their colour if exposed to ultraviolet light. Keep them in a dark closed container.
