Thyme
This Mediterranean herb, with its strong scent and taste, reminds of clove and camphor. Thyme is a very popular spice mostly in Southern and Eastern Europe. The bold taste and scent of thyme excel for preparing game, fish, poultry and ground meat, also in traditional Czech sauces, stuffing, pâté and herbs butter. In mixtures with oregano and basil it is used on pizza and pasta.
Tip: Thyme is very aromatic, so we recommend a maximum of three tea spoons per kilo of food.
