Cloves
The unopened flower buds of the evergreen tropical clove tree are used as a spice called clove. It originated in West India and the islands of Madagascar and Zanzibar. Clove has a nice and strongly aromatic scent and taste. It is used when preparing stewed meat, game and in various sauces. Nevertheless, the most widespread use of clove is in sweet meals, such as ginger bread, fruit pies and mulled wine.
Tip: Clove has strong antibacterial, disinfectant and numbing effects. In tincture form it is used as an antiseptic for the oral cavity and larynx.
