Ground Chilies
Chili belongs to the huge group of peppers, of which we know more than 200 species nowadays. For over one thousand years the home of the chili family has been Central and South America and the Antilles. It can be used in every meal to make it spicier. Chili is what makes curry hot, it is added to pickling mixtures, pepper sauces and chili oils. Chili extract is also used in ginger beer and other drinks.
Tip: If your mouth is hurting from too much chili, eat rice, bread or beans. However, do not drink anything as that will make the effects worse.
